What Does “Stage 1” Actually Mean?
Stage 1 generally describes an ECU remap intended for a vehicle that retains its original engine hardware. Unlike more advanced tuning packages, it will not normally require upgrades such as a larger turbocharger, modified exhaust system or uprated fuel components.
